[edit] Biographical Information
Jack Maguire was the son of Gordon Maguire, part time scout for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1937 and full time scout with the New York Giants from 1944. He signed with the Giants in 1943 before going in the service during World War II and returned to that organization when discharged. He played with the Giants in 1950 and 1951 and also that same year for the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Browns for a total of 94 major league games. (TSN 11/13/46)
