[edit] Biographical Information
J.D. Durbin set history in 2007 by allowing a single to Brandon Watson on June 17, giving Watson a 43-game hitting streak, the longest in the history of the International League. On July 17th of that year, he earned his first major league win, while going 3 for 4 at the plate.
Durbin signed with the Softbank Hawks in 2010. After some time at ni-gun, he was called up and debuted on June 25 in Nippon Pro Baseball. Starting against the Rakuten Golden Eagles, he allowed one run on four hits and four walks in six innings in a fine duel against Hisashi Iwakuma. He left with a 2-1 lead, replaced by Tadashi Settsu, but Takahiro Mahara blew the lead in the 8th and Durbin wound up with a no-decision.
