Ike Kahdot played briefly for the 1922 Cleveland Indians managed by Tris Speaker. Kahdot, like other Indians coming to the majors at that time, was nicknamed "Chief". He was a Potowatomi, and had attended Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS in 1920-22.
He is on the list of players whose college team nickname (the Indians) was the same as the major league team with whom he debuted (the Indians).
Kahdot came very close to living 100 years and was the oldest living ex-player at the time of his death.
The American Indian Integration of Baseball says that he played 15 years in the minors, almost always appearing in 150+ games in a season. The book lists six minor leagues in which Kahdot played.
