Ibaraki Prefecture is located on the island of Honshu, in Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean. The capital city is Mito, Ibaraki. As of 2000, the prefectural populations was 2,985,424. Yasumitsu Toyoda and Kenjiro Tamiya were born here in unspecified cities.
