Ibaraki Prefecture is located on the island of Honshu, in Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean. The capital city is Mito, Ibaraki. As of 2000, the prefectural populations was 2,985,424. Tokichiro Ishii, Manabu Mima, Kuninobu Sunaoshi, Yasumitsu Toyoda and Yusuke Ueda were born here in unspecified cities; Kenjiro Tamiya died here (town unlisted)
