Hyōgo Prefecture

Hyōgo Prefecture is located on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is Kobe, one of the largest ports in Japan. Total population of the prefecture was 5,595,212 as of October, 2005. For a list of places here, see Category:Settlements in Hyōgo.
Hyogo is home to the Orix Buffaloes in Kobe, and the Hanshin Tigers in Nishinomiya, both of the Nippon Professional Baseball league.
