Hugh Stuart Fullerton

Hugh Fullerton was a sportswriter in the late 19th century through the 1930s. He is best known for uncovering the Black Sox Scandal in 1919. He started as a sportswriter in Cincinnati, OH in 1893 before moving to Chicago as a sportswriter in 1899.

Fullerton was one of the founders of The Baseball Writers' Association of America.

Fullerton's son, Hugh Fullerton Jr., was a writer for the Associated Press for 38 years.
