[edit] Biographical Information
"Once, we saw the Senators' flamboyant submarine pitcher, Horacio Pina, as he caught his spikes and tripped in mid-delivery. For years, when somebody tried to be too flashy and fell on his face, my mother would intone, 'Horaaaacio Piiiina.'" Thomas Boswell: "The Church of Baseball", in Geoffrey C. Ward and Ken Burns: Baseball: An Illustrated History, Alfred A. Knopf, New York, NY, 1994, p. 191.
