Hongbo Zhang (張玉峰)

Hongbo Zhang has been a member of the Chinese national team for seven years (2002-2008).

In the 2003 China Baseball League, Zhang finished 5th with a .318 average for Guangdong. Zhang played for China in the 2003 Asian Championship and 2005 Asian Championship as well as the 2005 Konami Cup. In the 2005 Baseball World Cup, he hit .107/.235/.143 while playing all three outfield spots. In the 2006 World Baseball Classic, Zhang went 1 for 10 with a walk. He played for China in the 2006 Asian Games. In the 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week, he batted .222/.263/.278. He was with China in both the 2006 and 2007 Konami Cups. His batting line in the 2007 Arizona Fall League was .167/.211/.222. Zhang went just 1 for 17 with 8 strikeouts in China's last-place finish in the 2008 Olympics; he was their starting left fielder.
