[edit] Biographical Information

Pitcher Homer Blankenship was the brother of Ted Blankenship. They were teammates on the Chicago White Sox. Homer was the younger one, but they both came up in 1922, when Homer had recently turned 20. Ted stuck with the team, while Homer played briefly in 1922 and 1923 with the White Sox, and then resurfaced in the majors in 1928 briefly with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In all, Homer had 13 games in the major leagues.

Homer, from Texas, played most of his minor league career in the Texas League. He went 17-11 for Shreveport in 1926.
