Hokkaido is Japan's second largest island and the largest, northernmost Japanese prefecture. The largest city is Sapporo, Hokkaido. The Nippon Ham Fighters play here. For a list of cities and towns, see Category:Settlements in Hokkaidō. The island has a population of 5,583,072 as of June, 2008.
