Hiroshi Nakamoto (中本浩)

Hiroshi Nakamoto spent three years with the Japanese national team but never turned pro. In the 1990 Baseball World Cup, he hit .417/.463/.528 with 10 runs in 9 games; only Shinichi Sato had a better average for Japan. Nakamoto had one assist and no errors in right field. In the 1991 Intercontinental Cup, he again started in right for Japan and batted .308/.438/.346. He struggled in the 1992 Olympics, going 0 for 7 with four walks, five strikeouts and two runs, backing up Sato in right and Hirotami Kojima at DH.
