Herb Hash was the second major leaguer to come out of the University of Richmond. He was used frequently by the 1940 Boston Red Sox and appeared 4 more times in 1941.
He led the American Association in 1939 with 22 victories for the Minneapolis Millers.
He died from a stroke at age 97.
