Henry Rodriguez signed with the Cincinnati Reds a month after he turned 17. He split 2007 between the VSL Devil Rays/Reds (.267/.361/.427) and the DSL Reds (4 for 17, BB). In 2008, he hit .316/.388/.394 for the DFSL Reds and stole 21 bases in 28 tries as a utility infielder.
Rodriguez again had a good season as a utility infielder in 2009, batting .322/.354/.421 for the GCL Reds and going 9-for-9 in steal attempts.
