[edit] Biographical Information
Henry Fournier pitched one season in the major leagues, in 1894 in the midst of the lively ball era. His 5.40 ERA was actually one of the best on the team (which had a team ERA of 5.99). However, he gave up a higher percentage of unearned runs than most other pitchers on the staff.
Nicknamed "Frenchy", he was, however, not born in France but in the USA. He is not the same player as another "Frenchy Fournier" who played several decades later.
