Heartland Conference

The Heartland Conference is an NCAA Division II conference, founded in 1999, that currently consists schools from Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The Heartland Conference is the newest of the NCAA Division II conferences until the Great American Conference begins play in the 2011-2012 school year. On July 1, 2006, Western New Mexico University left the Heartland Conference to join the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
