Headin' Home is a 1920 silent movie starring Babe Ruth as a country bumpkin whose baseball skills and heroism win him fame and adulation. The movie plays out as a moral tale about small-town life, virtue, and baseball. It was likely primarily filmed in the offseason after 1919. Headin' Home includes some game footage of Ruth starring at the Polo Grounds, and was shown at Madison Square Garden in September 1920.
