Eddie Grant, usually remembered as "Harvard Eddie Grant", was a Harvard graduate who played in the major leagues and gained additional fame for giving up his life in the Ardenne forest during battle in World War I.

Through the 2005 season, the most recent player to come to the major leagues from Harvard was Jeff Musselman.

Harvard's first baseball team was formed in 1862 by freshmen George A. Flagg and Frank Wright.
