Harry Layne hit .316 with 311 stolen bases in 13 seasons in the minors and won the Three-I League batting crown in 1926.
His twin brother, Herman Layne, also starred in the minors and had a cup of coffee in the majors with the 1927 Pittsburgh Pirates.
