Later an umpire in the Pacific Coast League. Succumbed to a heart attack. Umpires Forrest Cady, Marty O'Toole, Harry Benton, Eddie Ryan, and "Red" Held were the pallbearers at his funeral, which was also attended by PCL president Hyland Baggerly, in Oakland, Cal. (LA Times, 9/20/32)
Not the same Harry Kane who coached Commerce High School in New York - and Lou Gehrig - to a championship in 1920; that Harry Kane was from Mamaroneck, N.Y., and played outfield for Fordham from 1912-1915.
