[edit] Biographical Information

OF/1B Harry Hughes played in the minor leagues from 1936 to 1947, missing the 1944-1945 seasons. He led the 1937 Western League with 109 walks. Statistical records are incomplete, however it is known that he hit at least 223 doubles, 41 triples and 52 home runs in his 10-year minor league career. It is also very likely that he hit at least .300.

Hughes served in the Marines during World War II. He became manager at West Palm Beach upon his discharge.
