Harold Funk played and managed in the minor leagues.

He played from 1922 to 1938, missing 1933 and 1935. A catcher, he collected at least 1,155 hits in his 15 seasons, of which at least 192 were doubles, 61 were triples and 65 were home runs. His best season came in 1926, when he hit .309 with 22 home runs in 148 games with the Springfield Midgets. He followed that up by hitting .340 in 104 games the following year.

He managed multiple teams in his career, including the Springfield Midgets (1927), Waynesboro Red Birds (1928), Rayne Rice Birds (1936-1937) and Longview Cannibals (1938). He led the Rice Birds to the playoffs both years, however they failed to make it past the first round.

He temporarily, voluntarily retired from baseball in August 1933 due to the death of his mother.
