[edit] Biographical Information

OF/C/1B/3B Hank Robinson played in the minor leagues from 1943 to 1957, missing the 1944-1945 seasons. Robinson made the all-star team for the 1953 Gulf Coast League at catcher when he led the league with 29 HR and 130 RBI. He hit over 200 home runs.

Robinson was player/manager of the Galveston White Caps in 1954, replacing Chase Riddle mid-season and the Thibodaux Senators in 1957, replacing Bill Dossey mid-season.

After his playing days, Robinson was a Hollywood stunt man. He returned to baseball in 1973 managing the Portland Mavericks, which his son Henry F. "Robbie" Robinson played on, but at the end of the season he received a one year suspension for punching an umpire back on August 26.
