[edit] Biographical Information

Outfielder Hal Bamberger played briefly in the majors with the New York Giants and later managed one season in the minors.

After serving in the Marine Corps during World War II, Bamberger began his baseball career. In a September callup with Leo Durocher's Giants in 1948, he appeared in 7 games. He was back in the minors the following summer. In 1951, he was a player-manager with the Muskogee Giants of the Western Association.

Following his baseball career, Bamberger was a foreman for Grace Mines and a member of the Twin Valley School Board, where he served as President for 7 years. He died in 2010 at age 86.
