The brother of Charlie Keller, catcher Hal Keller accumulated 54 at-bats over three seasons with the Washington Senators.

In 1952 he played for Chattanooga.

Hal and Charlie's brother Hugh Keller was a college star who played with Walter Johnson's son Eddie.

After his playing career, Keller was the farm director of the expansion Senators from 1961 to 1971 and Texas Rangers from 1972 to 1978. He was the Seattle Mariners' director of player development from 1979 to 1983, and the club's GM from 1984 to 1985.
