Hahn Air Base was a frontline facility used by NATO/US Air Force during the Cold War. It is located 10 km south of Kirchberg in central Germany.

The base was opened in 1951 by occupying French troops; the US took over the installations in 1952. The base was used from 1952 until it was closed in 1994 by the US Air Force.
