Greg Tagert

[edit] Biographical Information

Greg Tagert pitched at San Francisco State University but never played pro ball. He later was a Detroit Tigers scout and pitching coach at the University of New Mexico. He went on to manage for nine years in the Frontier League, posting a 412-336 mark as skipper of five different clubs. He currently (2008) holds the Frontier League record for managerial wins.

Since 2005, Tagert has been skipper of the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the Northern League, winning championships in 2005 and 2007.
