Greg Smith was tabbed as a good prospect who was stuck behind Ryne Sandberg. The Chicago Cubs traded him to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Jose Vizcaino on December 14, 1990. Vizcaino played 16 more seasons for 9 teams, while Smith played in only 5 games and had only 3 at bats for the Dodgers in 1991, then never appeared in another major league game.
