In 1911 the Greenwood Chauffeurs were renamed the Greenwood Scouts. The team (from Greenwood, MS) went 46-68 in their first season, fifth in the six-team Cotton States League. The team did even worse in the first half of 1912, finishing sixth at 17-41. In the second half, though, they had the best record at 33-23. When the first-half champion Vicksburg Hill Billies dropped out of the league partway through the second half, the Scouts were champions by default despite a total record of 50-64. The team was gone by the next season.
