Grand Rapids Sullivans

The Grand Rapids Sullivans were a top-notch amateur baseball team based out of Grand Rapids, MI. They were formed in 1953 by Bob Sullivan, owner of Sullivan's Carpets and Furniture. Over the years, the team featured Al Kaline, Kirk Gibson, Willie Horton and Jim Kaat and would include over 50 future major leaguers at some point.

The Sullivans won the National Baseball Congress World Series in 1960, 1970, 1983 and 1984. They won the Haarlem Baseball Week in 1963, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1988 and 1990.
