Grand Rapids Furniture Makers
From BR Bullpen
- Location: Grand Rapids, MI
- League: Western League 1899; Central League 1911
- Ballpark: Ramona Park
The Columbus Senators moved to Grand Rapids in the middle of the 1899 season. During the winter of 1899-1900, Ban Johnson learned that the Cleveland Spiders among others, would be dropped from the National League for the 1900 season. Working quickly Ban rounded up new owners in Charles Somers and John Kilfoyl, and moved the Grand Rapids team to Cleveland where the team became known as the Cleveland Blues. Today the team now plays under the name Cleveland Indians.
