Grégory Cros is a right-handed pitcher who has played for the French national team, and with MUC Baseball in Montpellier. As of the pre-Olympic trial in Beijing in 2007, he had played in 40 international games. He is the brother of national team member Anthony Cros. Greg allowed 8 runs (3 earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks in his only inning in the 2007 European Championship, facing the powerhouse Dutch national team. Only Giovanni Ouin, who also faced the Netherlands, had a worse ERA for France in the 2007 Euros. In the 2007 Division Elite, the 18-year-old hit .236/.324/.327 in 13 RBI in 17 games and fielded .878 at third base. He was 0-1 with 6 runs allowed in 3 innings. In 2008, he hit .491/.538/.800 with 22 runs in 14 games for the Barracudas de Montpellier.
For the 2008 season at Thompson Rivers University, he had a .254 batting average in 73 plate appearances, with 16 hits, 9 runs, 17 K's and 5 walks. As a pitcher, his ERA was 4.96 in 16 1/3 IP, 2 wins and a loss.
