Catcher Goro Fushimi went 1 for 4 for the 1938 Eagles in the Japan Baseball League. The next year, he hit .182/.220/.227 to finish his career at .183/.224/.231. A year later, he was drafted into the Japanese military. In 1945, Fushimi died in combat in the Marianas.
