Outfielder Glenn McQuillen played for the St. Louis Browns in 1938 and from 1941 to 1942. After serving three years in the military during World War II, he returned to the Browns in 1946 and 1947. After being released by the club, he played for the Toledo Mud Hens in 1948 and captured the American Association batting title.
McQuillen later managed the 1954 Lincoln Chiefs, 1955 Amarillo Gold Sox, 1956 Clovis Pioneers and Syracuse Chiefs.
McQuillen died of a heart attack in 1989 at age 74.
