George Enright played in 2 major league games for the 1976 Chicago White Sox. He came in as a defensive replacement on August 8, 1976 and caught the last 2 innings of a 7-1 White Sox loss to the Kansas City Royals. On September 7, he started at catcher and hit 9th in the batting order. He had one official at bat, facing Mike Torrez and reaching on an error by Don Baylor, who was playing first base for the A's. In the 6th inning, he was pinch hit for by Ken Brett and Wayne Nordhagen was the new White Sox catcher.
