[edit] Biographical Information

George Craig had a short life, dying before he was 25, but he was up in the major leagues in 1907 as the youngest player on the 1907 Philadelphia Athletics.

He was the third-youngest player in the American League. Tris Speaker, a few months younger, was the second-youngest player, while Walter Johnson, a few days older, was the fourth-youngest player in the league.

In 1910 he went 16-12 for Trenton.

Craig was shot and died in a struggle with a burglar in his hotel room while with the Indianapolis club in April 1911.
