Pitcher George Cappuzzello attended Youngstown State University and later completed his studies at Florida State University. He made his big league debut with the Detroit Tigers in 1981 and played his final game in the majors the following year with the Houston Astros.
He had 11 years in the minors, mostly in the Detroit organization.
