George Canale hit 76 career home runs in college, which currently (2009) places him 7th all-time in NCAA Division I. He was signed as a 6th round pick in the 1986 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers and scout Ken Califano.
Canale played three years in the majors, but had a minor league career that stretched from 1986 to 1998. He had over 150 home runs in the minors.
