[edit] Biographical Information
George "Andy" Anderson hit pretty well during his three seasons in the majors. Although he played only 35 games in the National League, his .380 OBP was much better than the 1918 Cardinals' team OBP of .297.
In 1914 he was seventh in the Federal League in batting.
He had hit .318 in 1913 in the minors before coming to the Federal League.
He is the only major leaguer (through 2008) called George Anderson, although one Sparky Anderson's real name was George.
