[edit] Biographical Information

On June 29, 1916, George Hesselbacher made his Major League debut at the age of 21. He would end up seeing Major League action in that season only, starting 4 games and compiling an 0-4 record in 26 innings. He walked 22, struck out six and had an ERA of 7.27. He played his final game on July 19, 1916. After he died his body was laid to rest in Northwood Cemetery in Philadelphia.

  • Hesselbacher served as a commanding officer in the United States Army during World War I.
