Infielder Geoff Blum became a hero to Chicagoans when he hit a solo home run in the 14th inning in Game 3 of the 2005 World Series to give the Chicago White Sox the win over the Houston Astros.
Blum became the second player to hit a HR in the only World Series PA of his career, after Jim Mason.
