Catcher Gene Dusan hit .311 in for the Iowa Oaks in 1972, but led the American Association with 13 errors.

Dusan was a minor league manager in the 1970s and 1980s. He started with the Batavia Trojans in the Cleveland Indians organization in 1977. He quickly moved up the ranks reaching the Indians AAA club, the Portland Beavers in 1978. He stayed as the Indians AAA manager as they switched affilliates going to the Tacoma Tugs in 1979 and 1980. In 1981 Dusan switched to the New York Mets organization. He managed a single A team for the Mets. In 1982 he moved up to AA with the Jackson Mets. The Mets made Dusan a major league coach in 1983. Dusan left the Mets organization in 1984 to become the AAA manager of the Wichita Aeros in the Cincinnati Reds organization. In 1985 the Reds switched AAA teams to the Denver Zephyrs and Dusan followed.
