Gene Corbett played three years for the Philadelphia Phillies, getting into 37 games in total.
He is one of four players with the last name Corbett: Sherman Corbett, Joe Corbett and Doug Corbett are the others.
He began his minor league career playing three seasons for Winnipeg, and was in the International League for parts of each season from 1937-44. His playing career continued through 1952.
