Gary Serum was 9-9 with the 1978 Minnesota Twins and also pitched for the Twins in 1977 and 1979. He was eleven years younger than teammate Rod Carew.
Serum was never drafted but instead was signed after participating in a tryout camp in 1975.
Serum was born in North Dakota but mostly grew up in Minnesota. He currently co-owns a restaurant in Anoka, MN.
