Gary Henderson is a college coach.

As a pitcher in college, Henderson went 19-5. He was an assistant coach at San Diego State University (his alma mater), Fullerton State, Riverside Community College and Pepperdine University. He was also head coach of Chapman University in 1992-1993. From 1995-1998, he was pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Florida - the team twice played in the College World Series. In 1996, Gary was named National Assistant Coach of the Year by Collegiate Baseball. He was pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for Oregon State University from 1999-2003. He recruited Kevin Gunderson, who would be MVP when OSU won the College World Series for the first time, in 2006.

From 2004-2008, Gary was pitching coach for the University of Kentucky. He became head coach in 2009 when John Cohen left for Mississippi State.
