Fu-Hao Liu is an outfielder for the Uni-President Lions.
Liu had a horrible pro debut in 2004, going 7 for 60 in a backup role. In 2005, he improved to .259/.299/.366 as a starter for the Lions. He batted .282/.377/.429 in 2006, won a Gold Glove and made the Best Ten as one of the top 3 outfielders in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
Liu had a huge year in the 2007 CPBL, hitting .338/.393/.503. He was 5th in the league in average behind Chin-Feng Chen, Cheng-Min Peng, Kuo-Ching Kao and Chia-Hsien Hsieh. He had 12 outfield assists in 93 games. He then came up big in the 2007 Taiwan Series, with 3 homers to help the Lions win the title. He again won a Gold Glove and made the Best Ten. He represented Taiwan in the 2007 Asian Championship. He pinch-hit for Feng-Min Chen and struck out against Chan-ho Park in his only at-bat of the event.
Liu slumped to .236/.310/.382 in 2008 but still fielded well and won his third Gold Glove.
