 Biographical Information
Catcher Fritz Buelow, born in Germany, played nine seasons in the major leagues. While he was a weak hitter, he was considered a good defensive player.
Buelow also played for the Minneapolis Millers in 1907 and 1908.
Although Buelow never got more than 255 at-bats in a season, he was the first-string catcher in both 1901 with the Detroit Tigers and 1905 with the Cleveland Naps, at a time when catchers didn't play as many innings. He also umpired one game in 1906.
