The Frisco Rough Riders began play in the Texas League in 2003 when the Shreveport Swamp Dragons relocated to Frisco, Texas. They have been the AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers for their entire existence, and the club plays its home games at Dr. Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark.
