Fred Millican was a minor league catcher and manager. He played on-and-off from 1932 to 1948, spending six seasons at the minor league level. Perhaps his best season was 1937, with the Tacoma Tigers - that season, he hit .243 with 24 doubles and four triples in 85 games.

He managed the Jonesboro Giants in 1938, replacing Gus Albright at the helm partway through the season. In 1948 he replaced Stan Bartkowski as manager of the Lufkin Foresters on June 30.
