[edit] Biographical Information
Fred Chapman is apparently the youngest player ever to appear in the major leagues. He was 14 when he played his one season. Another player, Billy Geer, is often believed to have debuted at 14, but his appearance was not until after his fifteenth birthday.
Chapman never appeared again in the major leagues - even though he lived another 70 years.
Imagine being washed up in the majors at age 14!
